Abeokuta - The paramount ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo Okukenu has said the members of Oodua People's Congress OPC will be participating I'm this year Lisabi Day Festival to showcase culture and traditions towards the forthcoming Operation Amotekun.

Alake, said this during the press conference held in the Ake palace to discuss the modalities for this year's festival which will commence this month. 
He also said the festival is going to feature a lot of entertainers all around the world to showcase their talents.

Also, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo solicited for support of the egba daughter and sons in diaspora towards the Abeokuta City Hall which the estimated funds needed is 600,000,000 Naira, the hall according to Kabiyesi will have lots of social amenities such as hall with capacity of 3,500 occupants, Hotel, Eateries and guests reception with new age faculties. 

"Since the Globacom telecommunication providers has withdrawn their support through sponsoring of Lisabi Day Festival we have been levying ourselves in the council in chief to ensure the festival is done without any hiccups, Last year's festival we contributed over 20,000,000 Naira to make sure it was done successfully". Said Alake 

"We are urging the indigenous sons and daughters of Egbaland to support the ancestral festival from their various destinations, also contribute their quota towards the development of the Abeokuta City Hall which will be hallmark project to the entire egbas". Alake added. 

He further cleared the doubt of many outsiders who sees the Lisabi festival as a shrine for worshipping gods, he urged them to desist from such belief as nobody is bowing for any gods during the festival and no shrine anywhere but remebrance of the hero of Egbaland "Lisabi Agbongbo Akala" .
