The Labour Party after an exhaustive investigation found out that the Ogun State higher Institutions introduced payment for employment at the heels of the past Government of Sen. Amosun cut off the traditional annual subventions to them.
It will be recalled that when Amosun was sworn-in in 2011 he opted to increase the State's IGR by visiting all kinds of hardship on various sectors, All sectors were denied subventions and that of course led all the levels in the education sector , hospitals et al to devise a way to lift their income leading to exorbitant school fees and bills across the various sectors of the economy in the State.
Many will recollect that at that same period, Amosun attempted to close down the first university of Education in Nigeria,a higher Institution in Ijebu Ode, Save for the prompt response of all IJEBU sons and Daughters , that institution established by OTUNBA GBENGA DANIEL would have become history.
However , immediately Prince Dapo Abiodun came into Government and discovered all of these wickedness dressed in the robe of "INCREASING THE STATE IGR " , he gave an Executive order that this obnoxious policy should be stopped and it was so stopped .
Labour Party has challenged anyone with any proof that the Ogun State Job Portal exploited his ward/child or even acquaintance to come forward with such evidence .
Arabambi submitted that under PDA's Government , no charge is paid or had been paid for employment .
The bottom line is that I believe and know that this evil allegation is not true .
"It is my candid piece of advice to all Ogun State sons and daughters seeking employment in Ogun State to seize the opportunity of the job portal. I ask them to ignore the detractors fuelling the exploitation lies on the internet. It is all the handiwork of political jobbers with grudges. It is very important that every citizen should build confidence in the State job portal for the benefit of all." said Arabambi Abayomi.
He said Ogun Job Portal is a very laudable State program and it is the most efficient and effective way to secure gainful employment quickly without stress.
"One fact that all must bear in mind is that there are very many individuals out there in the political space who are bent on trying to give the innovative and commendable programs of the sitting Government on the altar of bad politics. No one should accord them any degree of attention"
"In a few months from here , it is so certain that with the degree and momentum of this PDA led Government in the various ways it has been offering beneficial avenues for the citizens of Ogun State to reap the dividends of democracy without stress , Ogun State will turn out to be the State to beat." he added.
He said everyone should now begin to see the evils that some represent in the political space of this State. As a means of check-mating the activities of those that are given to planting poisonous rumours in the system , all must be determinedly prepared to readily and quickly puncture their evil rumours at every inch of the way with the truths
