Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, MAPOLY has been honoured with the "Best Participating Institution In SIWES" award in the year 2018 by Industrial Training Fund ITF, Ogun State chapter.
According to Mrs Funmi Coker, Deputy Director of ITF in Ogun State, she described Moshood Polytechnic as the best among other tertiary institutions in Ogun State in terms of participation and cooperation in the Student Industrial Working Experience Scheme SIWES and Industrial Training IT in the time past.
In attendance was Engr Noimot Salako-Oyedele, Deputy Governor of Ogun State, representatives from various tertiary institution in Ogun State, captain of industries, Head of Human Resources among others.
Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele assured the participants that government of Ogun State is committed to supporting the youths through vocational skills and acquisition to enable them become responsible and independent.
Also, she assured the participants of plans to incorporate all tertiary institutions in Ogun State with vocational and acquisition skill as a courses just as University of Lagos has been doing in the 60's to make the youths more outstanding and reliable.
"Over 120,000 people has applied for job through Ogun Job Portal, a medium provided by the government of Ogun State www.jobportal.gov.ng to reduce drastically the rate of unemployment in Ogun State." said Engr Noimot Salako-Oyedele.
"The job portal will not be limited to only employment of graduates but to train Ogun youths in skill acquisition programmes and the Anchors Borrower Sheme will be of great assistance to start their own personal business." She added.
She assured the participants of partnership and support at all times to reduce the rate of unemployment in Nigeria through acquisition.
