The organizer of the JAC race in Abeokuta Bukola Olopade has lauded former governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun for the giant strides his administration made in the infrastructural development of Ogun state.

The organizer Bukola Olopade who also served as a commissioner for youths and sports in Ogun under the Gbenga Daniel administration said the race wouldn't have been possible without the efforts and success of Senator Ibikunle Amosun's huge investment in the infrastructural development of the state.

Speaking on a live TV program recently, Olopade said: "I want to say a huge thank you (to Senator Ibikunle Amosun) for the roads that we have picked for this race. When you look at our route; from Onikolobo go through to Sapon through to Ake round Itoko, arinlese to Saje, Saje is the only patchy area."

"When you look at the ambiance from Onikolobo all through to the palace where we woud be finishing the race, let me tell you the words of my brand manager, she said; that roads, that route is a branding delight for any sponsor"

Olopade also said Amosun's huge investment on roads construction has helped grown his business and he can not but appreciate the former governor.

In his words; "You must understand that my business is road races, I employ a lot of people, I pay a lot of salaries apart from the other business of football that you know I also run. The fact that he (Amosun) has built roads has have a direct impact on my business and trickle down to those I pay salaries to. So, yes we must thank him for the roads."

The race is scheduled to kick off Saturday 2nd November, 2019.
