The Rivers State Commissioner of Police Mustapha Dandaura has directed all hotels operating in the state to install CCTV cameras at strategic locations in hotels to guard against serial killers targeting female hotel guests in Port Harcourt
The Rivers Police boss Dandaura briefed news men in Port Harcourt during a chat with Rivers State hotel owners association .
Dandaura who spoke on Tuesday at a press briefing in Port Harcourt following serial killings of eight females in various hotels in the state, said he has directed the executive members of Nigerian hotels association to prevail on their members to install CCTV Cameras in all hotels , guest houses, and motels in the state.
The Commissioner also stated that a nine man task force has been constituted to ensure that hoteliers complied with the directive.
The Rivers State Police command reiterated that it is working round the clock to bring an end to the murders of the young women.
