Following the announcement by the Lagos State House of Assembly that it would be probing the financial activities of the immediate past governor of the state Mr Akinwunmu Ambode, some Nigerians who reacted on Twitter have accused the National Leader of All Progressive Congress (APC) Asiwaju Bola Tinubu of being the brain behind the Ambode’s ordeal.
On Tuesday, August 27, 2019, Lagos Assembly inaugurated a committee to probe the purchase of 820 buses by the government when Ambode was the governor of the state between 2015 to 2019.

According to Hon. Gbolahan Yishawu who moved the motion stated that that the regime of Ambode proposed to spend N17bn to purchase the buses in the 2017 budget, which was not approved by the Assembly and the need to probe how the billions of Naira were expended by the former governor.
Last week, officials of Nigeria’s anti-graft agency had stormed the residence of Ambode in Epe, beaming their searchlight on the financial adventure of the ex-governor. His supporters reportedly prevented chased out officials of EFCC from the building.
Hundreds of Nigerians who took to twitter believed that the probe is a result of political differences between him and his former political godfather Tinubu.
A Twitter user @agba_awoo says, “You denied me my second term in office. You denied me my Ministerial appointment. Now you chasing me with EFCC,” apparently pointing accusing fingers at the APC National leader.
Another user, Crusader Chidubem who said there was nothing wrong in investigating a past government submitted that it was clear that Ambode’s probe “is politically motivated”.

. And mind you , fashola sack him from the position when he assumed power. He worked with jagaban hence his governorship mishap. Dude has always had tendency for stealing hence brf giving him the boot. Ambode is facing forces that makes up tinubu.
