The federal government has flagged off the repatriation of Nigerian refugees living in Cameroon.
The Nigerian government's delegation is by Sadiya Umar Farouq, the newly appointed minister of humanitarian affairs and disaster management.
The minister led a technical working group to Maroua, capital of the far north region of Cameroon to kick-start the return process.

She was received by the governor of the region, Alh Midjiyawa Bakary, on arrival.
As a result of the visit, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has airlifted back to the country no fewer than 135 Nigerians.
The returnees were airlifted on Thursday, August 22 by a NAF C-130H aircraft from the Maroua Salak International Airport to Yola International Airport, in furtherance of the NAF’s constitutional role of providing military aid to civil authority.
The NAF had earlier airlifted the Nigerian delegation who oversaw the commencement of the return process.
Meanwhile, the federal government on Wednesday, August 21, disclosed that it was building power transmission line to link up some countries in the West African sub-region.
This was disclosed by the managing director of Transmission Company of Nigeria, TCN, Mr. Mohammed Gur Usman.
Usman made the comment in Abuja at the 2019 participants/key stakeholders interactive forum organised by market operator.
