The Rivers State Police Command is calling for the support of members of the public in identifying the true identity of a young man who died in a car accident in Port Harcourt last week.

A statement issued by the state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP, Omoni Nnamdi, explained that the motor accident occurred along the popular Stadium Road, Elekahia in Port Harcourt.

He disclosed that one Peter Onuha, driving a Mercedes Benze, Mini-Tanker-Truck with registration number SKN 437, was the driver, who knocked down the deceased, last Tuesday, 26 February, 2019.

DSP Omoni Nnamdi said that the deceased, who was confirmed dead by a Doctor in the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital (UPTH), is dark in complexion and within the age of 40 years, has since been deposited in the mortuary.

He also said that there was no traceable address or name on the deceased.

He therefore called on members of the public with useful information that can lead to the identification of the corpse to call the Elekahia Police DPO on this GSM number : 08037418054.
