The Governorship Candidate of the Advanced Allied Party (AAP) in Ogun State, Prince John Adegbola has commended the State House of Assembly for passing the Bill on State Health Insurance Scheme today Thursday 27th December, 2018 for executive assent. He noted that though this law is being promulgated at the tail end of the tenure of His Excellency, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, it is a step in the right direction as only the healthy can make a living. Healthcare remains one of the fundamental responsibilities of government and should be given utmost attention.
In his words, the Bill once signed into law will provide a framework for his plans on healthcare as he believes healthcare should be made affordable and at the reach of every resident of the state. He stated that when elected into office, his administration will ensure that our senior citizens as well as children have access to free healthcare.
Prince John Adegbola also commended the State Assembly led by the Rt. Hon. Suraj Adekunbi for the timely passage of the 2019 Appropriation Bill before the end of the outgoing fiscal year noting that this has been a good practice of the sitting Assembly.
