I did not Kidnap the woman , It was a misconception - Tijani Wasiu
One of the paraded suspects at the Ogun state command today denied to be a kidnapper, a 38 years old Tijani Saliu who hail from Imeko in Ogun State said he was never a kidnapper but only assisted the woman of 3 children on the faithful Wednesday 19th of June 2018 at exactly some minutes to 7pm at Ogun radio, aiyetoro road housing estate.
Meanwhile, the woman who was the victim of kidnapping told AmeboFeeds correspondent during interview at Eleweran during the parade that he (Tijani Wasiu) was lying, that during the raining period, Tijani stopped at the roadside to give her a lift but unfortunately he refused to stop when she got to her bustop, mean while,Tijani Wasiu had locked the door button as she intended to jump through the door.
She said,she started narrating the Quran verses to her 3 children, then the car door suddenly opened, The passers by who were Okada riders haven noticed what was happening,had to call the police FSARS for intervention.
According to the police command,the suspects (Tijani Saliu 40 and Nofiu Babatunde 38) were arrested on the 20th of June 2018,by men of FSARS after receiving an information that a family of four consisting of a mother and her three children have been kidnapped around Ogun Radio area of Ayetoro road in Abeokuta . The information also revealed that the kidnappers were going towards olomore where a team of FSARS led by ASP Segun Johnson was detailed to go after the hoodlums and the team accosted at Saani Olomore road where the victims were rescued and two suspected kidnappers were arrested at the scene of operation. Exhibit recovered were One pump action Gun, Localy made pistols, two live cartridges and One Toyota Corolla with registration number AKD 04 FT.
