OSUN WEST SENATORIAL ELECTION: I CARE DO YOU CARE? ~ Hon Rotimi Makinde.

I just hope no one thinks the forthcoming bye election to determine who replaces late Sen Isiaka Adeleke of blessed memory is a yardstick to test how Apc as a party is faring in Osun State or an election between Gov Rauf Aregbesola and the local opponents, nor is it between Sen Mudasir Hussein and Dr Demola Adeleke...To think in that direction is to be hypocritical, insensitive and economical with the facts of the matter. This is a clear test case of how Nigerians want to be governed.Do we want the progress of the nation as it relates to this steady progress, are we enjoying the change mantra or we are prepared to go back to witness more of insecurity, mind boggling revelations of stealing and corruption. Are we ready to continue to embrace these transformations or we wish to go back to our previous maladministration.

This election is certainly going to be an acid test for the ruling government and the opposition.Lest we forget that the journey to our present stardom been enjoyed by the party actually started in Osun State, where the combined efforts of apc followers checkmated the tsunami of the then ruling party coming from Ekiti.

It is therefore going to be a big task for Chief John Oyegun led executive at the national level,a portfolio test to the like of Dr Segun Oni who is today warming up for his "personal ambition" to return to power in Ekiti State. So also for our respected leader, Chief Pius Akinyelure aswell as many other SW leaders not excluding our dear Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu ,it is also an opportunity to test people's acceptability of those 2018 governorships gladiators warming up in Osun West in their respective local governments and constituencies and above all,a challenge for us all to demonstrate and reciprocate our love to Aregbesola and above all moral burden on those newly appointed commissioners and special advisers from every part of the axis that make Osun West. Let's be mindful that .... Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola is a governor already, Hussein had also been a Senator before....It is therefore a matter of collective responsibility...
