SPEECH DELIVERED BY WAPSU SECRETARY GENERAL DURING AWARD PRESENTATION TO HON. (BARR.) ADEBAYO OSIKOMAIYA EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN IJEBU EAST CENTRAL LCDA OGUN STATE.

All praises and adoration belongs to God Almighty; the maintainer and sustainer of the universe.

All protocol are fundamentally observed as a product of tradition and culture.
With great humility, I extend the best regards of the West Africa Polytechnic Students Union (WAPSU) to your highly esteemed personality and office.
West Africa Polytechnic Students' Union (WAPSU) Inaugurated her 7th leadership in August 2015 at Acrra Polytechnic, during the 3rd edition of West Africa Polytechnic Game tag Accra 2015 The union formed in year 1998 at the Institut National/polytechnique, Felix HOUPHOUET-BOIGNY Yamoussoukro, Ivory Coast.
WAPSU is to serve as the commanding height of all polytechnic student movement in West Africa region i.e. Benin Republic, Burkina-Faso, Cabo Verde, Cote D'Ivoire, TheGambia, Ghana, Guinea Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra-Lone and Togo.As a continental students / youth Organization, WAPSU set for its self such objectives as capacity building, refined student leadership skills,integration of youth and student movements for the overall socio economic development of the continent and pan-Africanism, defending students' right, improvement on equity, democratization, equal access to education at all levels, fostering of academic freedom, freedom of research,autonomy for all Polytechnics to award B. Tech and promotion of democratic culture amongst its various people.
With due respect, total sense of humility and regards to your good office and your extreme personality, I am pleased to convey the resolution of the Congress of WAPSU to present to you an HONOUR along side all your management Team (Award of Excellence).

Furthermore, after proper consideration you're knownas a rare icon and erudite leader who has systemically, gradually and purposefullyachieved, coupled with undiluted vision and determination. We are aware of your dint toward hard work and unequalled enthusiasm towards the nation building.
Sir,your unrelenting contributions towards youth and students develeipmental projectswas also considered as criteria for this honour bestowed on you today.
Sir, been a leader of substance, modesty, with supportive spirit, we will urge you not to relent with your good deed because there is always light at the end of all titanic tunnel.
It is time for the glorious new dawn because today you're receiving the highest honorary award of our amiable organization (WAPSU) Distinguished ladies and gentlemenlet rise in ovation with applause to celebrate this rare TRAIL BLAZER and ICON OF HUMANITY.
