Happy Children's Day Celebration To All The Children In The World-Amebof9ja

By~Solanke Taiwo Teemoney, Publisher of Amebo Online News

The most precious gift to the world is Life…the birth of new life and the joy of watching life bloom and grow.

If you ask any mother or father, they’ll tell you the joy of holding their child in their arms for the first time is indescribable. From that moment on, most parents begin to live for their children and would do everything to protect them.

But sadly, even in these modern times, the safety of many children is threatened. We have irresponsible parents who expose their children to the dangers of drug abuse, domestic violence and child labour.

Children are robbed of their childhood by being forced to work like adults in factories. They hawk goods on the street. They are abused and raped by paedophiles and sometimes their parent, caregiver or teacher.
Why are children like Musa in hospital? His stepmothers tortured him perhaps to get back at his father. Little girls like Ese Oruru kidnapped, forcefully made to accept Islam when she’s a Christian and impregnanted by her abductor. We have the Chibok girls kidnapped and held hostage in Sambisa forest by terrorists. We have kids all over the world hungry, homeless, crying and sick from one disease or the other.

This morning, my wife and I called all our children being Children’s Day to bless them. We also prayed to God to protect, guide and keep them safe. Then I remembered all the children in the world who may not have the love and care we give to ours. And I wished my arms were long enough to reach them and hug them.

I hug them with my prayers today. Please say a prayer for all the children of the world today. May God’s love protect and surround them all.

Happy Children’s Day.
