President Buhari, on Wednesday, April 19, suspended Babachir David Lawal and Ayodele Oke and announced it in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity Femi Adesina.

Lawal’s suspension follows his being accused of complicity in the finances meant for the welfare of the Internally Displaced persons, IDPs in the north east by the Senate which also called on the president to remove him.

Oke was suspended over the money which was found by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in an Ikoyi apartment in Lagos that his agency NIA claimed to own.
