Ebenezer Obey born as Ebenezer Remilekun Aremu Olasupo Obey-Fabiyi on the 3rd,April 1942 in Idogo,Abeokuta,Nigeria is a juju musician.He is also known on stage as Chief Commander.He began his career professionally in the middle 50s when he moved to Lagos.After advisory under Fatai Rolling Dollar's band,he established his band "The International Brother" in 1964,playing the high life-juju genre of music.The  band later transformed into Inter-Reformers in the early 70s,releasing banging hits of Juju albums under the West African Decca music label.Ebenezer Obey began to expand the band by experimenting on various drum kits,guitars and the talking drum.Obey's style of music was in turning the Yoruba principle into dance-floor piece.The band made their fame in praise-singing the elites and business tycoon.Obey is also known for his Christian spiritual theme in his music and has since the early 90s switched into the Gospel music ministry.He was happily married to Lady evangelist Juliana Obey-Fabiyi who died in 2011 at LASUTH and their union was blessed with children and grandchildren..
