The Chairman of the Ogun State Election Petition Tribunal, Justice Henry Olusiyi has warned political parties or individuals against
compromising the tribunal. Olusiyi who made a public statement after the sitting of the tribunal in Abeokuta has said the tribunal cannot be compromised or corrupted by anyone. The Chairman explained that the Judges have a feeling that some people were putting themselves out as agents of the tribunal and thereby collecting money to reach them. He therefore warned that whoever might have given out money to reach the tribunal should go back and retrieve his money. Meanwhile, the tribunal granted an application by the Mega Progressive Peoples Party (MPPP) seeking to inspect the materials used for April 11 Governorship Election in the State. The party is in court challenging the process of the election, alleging that it was unlawfully excluded from the governorship poll; the party prayed the tribunal to cancel the whole election.
