The governorship candidate of Oyo state All Progressives Congress APC, Senator Sarafadeen Abiodun Alli has donated a brand-new Toyota Camry to Mrs. Rachael Folake Alamu, the Principal of Community High School, Ahoro-Esiele, Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, in recognition of her courage, resilience, and unwavering commitment following her traumatic 56-day captivity in the hands of kidnappers.
Mrs. Alamu was among the teachers and pupils abducted on May 15, 2026, when armed bandits invaded Community High School, Ahoro-Esiele, alongside Baptist Nursery and Primary School, Yawota, and LA Primary School in Ogbomoso, all located within Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.
The victims endured 56 harrowing days in captivity before they were eventually rescued by security operatives after sustained efforts involving the Nigerian military and other security agencies.
Presenting the vehicle, Senator Alli described the donation as a token of appreciation for Mrs. Alamu's remarkable strength and perseverance throughout the traumatic experience. He noted that her resilience has become a source of inspiration to many Nigerians and reaffirmed his commitment to supporting initiatives that promote education, security, and the welfare of citizens.
The gesture has been widely applauded by residents and stakeholders, who described it as a thoughtful recognition of the principal's sacrifice and a morale booster for educators working under challenging conditions.
