Vice President Kashim Shettima has departed Abuja for Jos, Plateau State, to preside over the graduation ceremony of Senior Executive Course 47 (2025) at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) in Kuru.
The prestigious institute, known as Nigeria's apex think tank, offers high-level training, policy guidance, and strategic advice to senior bureaucrats, private and public sector leaders, security officials, and civil servants from Nigeria and across Africa.
Shettima's participation comes shortly after he represented President Bola Tinubu at a recent Presidential Parley with the same course participants at the Villa, where a comprehensive report on the blue economy was presented.
The report proposed ambitious measures, including a national fisheries expansion programme aimed at scaling production from the current approximately 1.2 million metric tonnes to 10 million metric tonnes within two years, leveraging public-private partnerships to drive growth in the sector.
During the graduation event, the Vice President is scheduled to deliver remarks emphasizing the transformative impact of President Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda on Nigeria's socio-economic landscape.
He is accompanied by key officials, including NIPSS Board Chairman Senator Ken Nnamani, Deputy Chief of Staff to the President Ibrahim Hadejia, and Senior Special Assistant on Agribusiness and Productivity Kingsley Uzoma.
