At Hudugum Village in Gwoza LGA, Borno State, troops from 192 Battalion backed by Civilian Joint Task Force allies unleashed a ferocious assault on ISWAP and JAS fighters, dropping two terrorists in a textbook takedown.
Separately, three disillusioned insurgents Fannami Ari (aka Abu Dujana), Hussaini Hassan Modu (aka Abu Yusuf), and a trainee threw in the towel to troops in Kukawa and Damboa LGAs, fed up with brutal leadership and crumbling camp conditions.
North West Kidnap Thwarted
Soldiers from 1 Brigade crushed two ambush-style abduction plots in Zamfara State, freeing 11 victims along the Magami–Jan Gemi and Kucheri–Bilbis roads.
All hostages were swiftly reunited with families as patrols rampaged onward, choking terrorist supply lines and movement.
North Central Crackdown
Under Operations ENDURING PEACE and WHIRL STROKE, synchronized raids swept Plateau, Benue, Nasarawa, and Kaduna States, collaring 15 suspects tied to cult wars, kidnappings, cattle rustling, and ethnic violence.
Four additional victims were pulled from captivity in Plateau and Taraba, with caches of weapons, ammo, and evidence seized.South-South Oil Theft Bust
In Bayelsa, 29 Battalion troops torched two clandestine refining camps in Biseni, Yenagoa LGA. Meanwhile, 34 Artillery Brigade warriors seized 62 sacks of pilfered crude over 3,000 liters in Ohaji/Egbema LGA, Imo State, gutting the black-market pipeline.
