The Executive Chairman of Sagamu Local Government, Hon. Jubril Olasile Odulate, today played host to the leadership of the Students’ Union Government (SUG) of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Abeokuta, led by Comrade Afolabi Temitope, a proud indigene of Sagamu. The courtesy visit was aimed at fostering a cordial relationship with the local government and seeking the Chairman’s guidance and support for the SUG’s ongoing and future projects.
Speaking during the visit, Comrade Afolabi Temitope, the SUG President, expressed deep admiration for Hon. Odulate’s visionary and people-centered leadership, describing him as a mentor and father figure to many young leaders across Ogun State. He highlighted the union’s desire to have the Chairman serve as Patron on Program and Project, a symbolic gesture of appreciation for his commitment to youth development and grassroots empowerment. Temitope noted that the Chairman’s achievements in public service have continued to inspire students and emerging leaders to aim higher in their respective pursuits.
In his response, Hon. Jubril Olasile Odulate appreciated the thoughtful visit and commended the union for its unity, focus, and leadership drive. He assured the delegation of his unwavering support for educational and developmental initiatives, reaffirming his belief that young people hold the key to the nation’s future. He advised the student leaders to remain diligent, disciplined, and purpose-driven, noting that “no dream is too big to achieve when matched with hard work, vision, and integrity.”
The Sagamu LG boss also expressed pride in Comrade Temitope, whom he described as an outstanding ambassador of Sagamu and a testament to the value of dedication and community spirit. He lauded the MAPOLY SUG for its proactive engagement with leadership and encouraged continued collaboration for the progress of youth and education in the region. The visit ended on a cordial note, with both parties reaffirming their shared commitment to excellence, partnership, and positive change.
