
The Nigerian equities market opened the week and month of March on Monday, March 3, 2025, on a losing note, as investors lost ₦94.61 billion on the trading floor of the Nigerian Exchange Group (NGX).
This follows a dip in the share prices of stocks like IKEJAHOTEL, UCAP, and CUTIX amongst others on the trading floor.
NGXGROUP, LEARNAFRCA, CHAMPION led other gainers with 10%, 10% and 9.90% growth each in prices to close at N33.00, N3.63 and N4.33 from the previous N30.00, N3.30 and N3.94 per share.
IKEJAHOTEL, UCAP, and CUTIX led other price decliners with 9.92%, 9.91%, and 9.84% decline each in share prices to close at N10.90, N20.00 and N2.29 from the previous N12.10, N22.20 and N2.54 per share.
On the volume index, ZENITHBANK led trading with 32 million shares in 941 deals followed by FIDELITYBK which traded 19 million shares in 514 deals.
ACCESSCORP traded 16 million shares in 727 deals.
ARADEL traded shares valued at N534 million in 326 deals.
