The Commissioner of Police in Ogun state, CP Abiodun Alamutu, has charged business owners, entrepreneurs and investors in Nigeria to emulate the exemplary business virtues of honesty and integrity exhibited by the Chief Executive Officer of Pelican Valley Nigeria Limited, Ambassador Babatunde Adeyemo.
The Ogun Police boss gave this charge on Wednesday evening while delivering a goodwill message during the commissioning of the Pelican Ecostay Apartments, a Dubai-like smart-city located at Masa village in the Kobape axis of Abeokuta, Ogun State.
CP Alamutu observed that the Pelican chief executive has demonstrated a proven track record of integrity and honesty which should be emulated by real estate practitioners in the country.
He said this while emphasizing that the activities of some criminally-minded people whose stock in trade is to defraud unsuspecting members of the public of their hard-earned money have painted the industry in bad light.
CP Alamutu noted that the police formation in Ogun State is proud to identify with Pelican Ecostay Apartments because of the values of excellence, integrity and honesty brought to the real estate business by Ambassador Adeyemo.
Alamutu graced the commissioning of the Ecostay Apartments in the company of high ranking officials from the Ogun State Police Command, including the Deputy Commissioner of Police and Ogun State Force PRO, Omolola Odutola.
The event witnessed a catalogue of special guests, dignitaries as well as clients of Pelican Valley, who in their separate goodwill messages, equally harped on the need for real estate businessmen and investors to emulate the exemplary business virtues and ethics that have enhanced the success stories of Pelican Valley over the years.
That the colourful commissioning of Pelican Ecostay Apartments was graced by a former Ogun State Governor, Aremo Olusegun Osoba; Chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Hon.Dr. Abike Dabiri-Erewa; Aboro of Ibese land, HRM Oba Rotimi Olusesi Mulero (Ilufemiloba Olokojobi III); the Brand Ambassador of the Pelican Valley and veteran actor, Pa James Olukayode Olaseinde popularly known as Pa Ajirebi, captains of industries as well as clients from the diaspora, chieftains of Masa village, the host community, and its adjoining communities.
Earlier in his address, Adeyemo said the idea of the Ecostay Apartments was conceived to address the challenges of climate change, pollution, waste management and the need to incorporate cutting-edge eco-friendly technologies, sustainable materials and innovative design principles to minimise carbon footprint and protect the planet.
He revealed that Pelican Valley has successfully brought over 1,000 Nigerians in the diaspora into the tax net of Ogun State, assuring that the project has the potential to do more.
