The immediate past chairman of Sagamu Local Government, Ogbeni Afolabi Odulate has sent his appreciation to His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun and the leaders of All Progressives Congress APC after securing the second term ticket of the party.
Below is excerpt of his message:
A GRATEFUL HEART
Nothing is more honourable than a grateful heart. Today, my heart is full of gratitude to God, who in His infinite mercies has seen me through the crossing of this hurdle, and many more, and in Whom I believe in His divine grace to cross more. I will remain indebted to our party, the All Progressives Congress - APC, for again considering me worthy of being the flag bearer as the Chairmanship Candidate in the forthcoming local government elections. My sincere appreciation to my father, H.E Prince (Dr) Dapo Abiodun CFR, the citizen of the twenty Local Government Areas of our Gateway State and the numero uno of our party, the APC. Thank you for all you do and for the kind and thoughtful ways you do it. Permit me to use H.E. as a point of contact in extending my gratitude to the executives, leaders and members of our party from the State organ to the Senatorial district, local government branch, and wards, most especially my own ward 5. Your collective steadfastness in this journey can never be swept under the carpet.
A very special appreciation to my Kabiesi, H.R.M Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi CFR, the Akarigbo, and Paramount Ruler of Remoland, the Akarigbo in Council and Sagamu Council of Obas. I pray that God continues to increase your wealth of wisdom and grant you all a healthy, long lives on the stools of your forebearers. "Asiko yin a tubo ma tu ile l'ara"
The heroes of this keenly contested exercise are my co-aspirants, amongst whom I am today privileged to emerge as the Candidate. I used co-aspirants because I believed from the onset that contests shouldn't exist between families. We are all one, and I want to emphasise it again that there is no victor and no vanquish. The main contest is in a few weeks, and I am counting on you all to let us do this together. There is strength in our unity, and I appeal to you to bring your wealth of experience to fore in delivering a Sagamu we can proudly call ours.
To my family, which includes my immediate family, the Odulate and Desalu, the families I have beyond bloodlines, my political allies, members of AFO Political Vanguard, my ever dutiful media team and a host of others, I say thank you for standing firm on my mandate.
Lastly, and in no particular order, this appreciation is incomplete without acknowledging the efforts and support of my Hon. MHR, Adewunmi Oriyomi IJAYA, the Ogun State Commissioner for environment Hon. Ola Oresanya, Hon Commissioner for Special Duties Mrs Funmilayo Efuwape Akinyebo(FAECO), Hon Adeniran Ademola(Sapele), Hon Abdul Oladunjoye(Shitta), Hon Adewale Aka, my ever supportive brothers, Alhaji Samsondeen Adebayo Apelogun(All Rounder) the Baba Adinni of Ogun State, Otunba Taofeek Sokoya, Otunba Samsondeen Osho, Alhaji Yakubu Adebayo, Prince Ade & Ade, Baba Opa, Mrs Sonubi(Yoboro), my delectable sister Yetunde Aladeyelu, Alhaja Samsondeen Sanni, Alhaja Yetunde Oyemala, Prince Gbenga Banwo, Hon Abeeb Ajetunmobi, Alhaji Lukman Adunmo and others.
