A planned protest by some Nollywood actors and fans in honour of the late former Marlian signee and musical artist, Mohbad, has been cancelled following a request from the Lagos State government.
The protest, originally scheduled to take place today, was intended to run from Oba Akran Road in Ikeja to the Governor’s office in Alausa.
However, it was called off at the last minute due to concerns over safety, as there were fears it could be hijacked by hoodlums.
In its place, a candlelight parade and tribute performance have been scheduled for Thursday, September 21, 2023, to honour the young talent.
The procession will begin at the Lekki Phase 1 gate and will end at Muri Okunola Park VI, where the tribute concert will be held tomorrow.
Attendees are encouraged to dress in white.
