A group of dedicated and committed party Women from the Nineteen Northern States of Nigeria today declared their support for Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state, saying, he is their choice candidate for Nigeria President in 2023.
The party women made their stance known Today when they paid a visit to Governor Bello.
Speaking for the Group, Hon. Hadiza Ahmed, who is the Chairperson said of all those that have shown intentions to run for President in 2023, Governor Bello is their preferred choice considering his achievements as governor of Kogi state.
She noted that the achievements of Governor Yahaya Bello within the last five years, which has placed kogi state on the global map as a fast developing state has made the governor the best person to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023, and these and many more have prompted a lot of Nigerians and the YBN to urge him to contest for President.
Honorable Hadiza said that Bello has shown good leadership in Kogi state which can be seen across all sectors.
The group further applauded the governor for being the most youth and women-friendly governor in the country, which has gotten him a lot of international and national recognitions and awards.
They noted that “We are here to call on the Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, Gov. Yahaya Bello to answer our call as a youth to be our next President in 2023".
The group also said, “Bello understands the needs of youth and women because he interfaces and works with them".
While delivering her speech, Hadiza also noted that “Under his administration, youths and women are very involved, which is what we want to be brought to the national level because that is what Nigerians are also clamoring for in 2023".
She said, “The example has already been set in Kogi State and we are sure he will do it when he becomes President in 2023".
Governor Yahaya Bello, in his response, appreciated the group for seeing him worthy to be the right person to take over from President Buhari in 2023.
