ABEOKUTA — Nothing less than thirteen people has lost their lives to fatal accident on Kere, Ewekoro axis, inbound Abeokuta on Lagos - Abeoukuta express-way today 3rd of January, 2022.
The vehicle involved are Mazda Passengers bus, white with reg number. LSR 266 YD, Mazda Passengers bus, white, with reg. Num. LND 01 YE and Mitsubishi Cabster with reg. Num. XS 595 JJJ Amebo Newspaper NG learnt.
According to Traffic compliance and enforcement agency, TRACE, Cause of the accident was driving against traffic on the part of the Cabster driver and over speeding on the part of the Mazda bus drivers according to an eye witness, leaving 10, Injured, 12 ( 7 male adult, 4 female adult & 1 female child dead at the scene of accident Amebo Newspaper learnt.
Meanwhile, the Injured victims were rescued to Ijaye General Hospital and Federal Medical Centre Idi Aba before our arrival while the presumed dead were also deposited at Ijaye General Hospital morgue by Federal Road Safety Corps FRSC.
Traffic initially diverted from inbound to outbound Abeokuta for the removal of the accidental vehicles from the road, Road now free after the removal of accident vehicles off the road and road side.
