2023: Alasa PDP Ward Excos endorse Oke-LEGACY for House of Reps

AHEAD of 2023 election, the Alasa Ward Executives of People’s Democratic Party in Ogbomoso North Local Government Area of Oyo State have endorsed Hon. John Adisa Oke popularly known as Omo- Baba LEGACY as the party flag bearer for House of Representatives, Ogbomoso North, South, Orire. 

The endorsement was detailed in an unanimous meeting organized by the excos last-week to pledge their support behind his aspiration. 

The Excos revealed that they resolved to endorse the Member of Local Government Service Commission in due recognition of His outstanding contribution towards the development of the party and Federal Constituency which has not only surpassed all achievements of intending aspirants but become a model for others to emulate. 




While speaking, the ward Chairman, Kamorudeen Dauda, reiterated that among those coming out to show interest, LEGACY is the most educated, politically experienced and couple with the fact that his father has made tremendous impact both in PDP and Ogbomoso town before he passed on. 

According to him, Others are new comers. “You have been on board for a while. Even when you couldn’t take the ticket in 2019, the sportsmanship didn’t make you to leave the party but supported the party candidate strongly.

“His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde compensated you with Director of Youth- mobilization for his campaign team.”

“You have also given scholarship to many youths, widows and orphanages including empowerment scheme among others” 

“To endorse you for the post of House of Representatives is on equity and fairness as you stand tall among the contemporaries.

The Chairman said Oke-LEGACY is one of the major employer of labor in Ogbomoso and brought different youth from all over the country to study in Ogbomoso. 

In his response, Hon Oke-LEGACY thanked Governor Seyi Makinde for making him relevant after election as he pledged his continuous support for His Excellency. 

He also thanked the ward Executives for the confidence they have in him and he reassured them and the people of Ogbomoso North, South and Orire Federal Constituency that he will continue to strive hard to ensure that the Constituency is well represented if given the opportunity. 

Oke-LEGACY noted that his services to the people are born out of his intention to follow his father’s footprint and to leave positive legacy in his name and not so much about the coming election. 

He added that power belongs to the almighty God and knowing fully well that he will surely ask him to give account of his stewardship in any leadership position he found himself. 

The House of Representatives hopeful promised to donate a motorized borehole in Alasa Ward in appreciation of their full support.

Those present at the meeting included his mother, Mrs Oke who appreciated them for their support and political aspiration. 

Mrs Oke promised that his family through the Oke LEGACY Foundation will continue to support Ogbomoso and Oyo indigent. 

She appealed to everyone to continue to support the effort of Engineer Seyi Makinde administration which has brought a new look to Oyo State.
