ABEOKUTA — Ogun state house of assembly hopeful comes 2023, Hon. Oluwaseun Adebowale popularly known as (MATICO) has hosted the teeming youths of Obafemi Owode local government in a football league.
Hon. Oluwaseun Adebowale (MATICO) is from Ajura ward in Obafemi Owode local government.
The league started early November 2021, where all the youths across the local community contested happily in a very interesting league which lasted for weeks and ended today 4th of December 2021.
Today, the final match was played by the two teams that lead their tables during the league which are Orile Imo Football team and Ajura football team, and at the end of the keenly contested football match, Orile Imo scored 3 to 1 to win the league in the presence of important personalities in the local community.
Engr. Akeem Babatunde Adesina, Senior Special Adviser to Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun represented the government at the event, he applaud the organizer of the football league, charged the youths to be more productive and shun all forms of social vices which can tarnish their image and make them a threat to the community where they resides.
Also, he promised the youths that government of Prince Dapo Abiodun will remember them in the all inclusive governance by providing social amenities to them at appropriate time.
Oluwaseun Adebowale 'Matico', while appreciating the leaders of the party starting from Chief Olaotan Emmanuel Olude, Chairman All Progressives Congress (APC) Obafemi Owode Local Government, Chief Reuben Sogaolu, to other respected elders and leaders in the Local Government Area and beyond who deemed it necessary to attend the epoch event today.
He commended the youths for making the football league more peaceful by exhibiting spirit of sportsmanship during and after the contest, while he assure them of quality representation if elected in the forthcoming poll to represent them at the state assembly.
