The member of house of representatives, Hon Olumide Osoba has empowered nothing less than 50 constituents on skill development in fish value chain capacity building in a 2-days continuous event.
The empowerment is in fulfilment of his electioneering campaign to engage the youths across the three local government Ona capacity building.
Hon Osoba is representing the good people of Abeokuta North, Odeda and Obafemi-Owode local government of Ogun State, he doubled as the chairman house committee on youths and sports at the green chamber, Federal house of representatives, Abuja.
The participants were selected across the three local government namely Abeokuta North, Odeda and Obafemi-Owode respectively, and the target was unemployed graduates, youths and women in the communities to train them on capacity guiding to enable them to be self reliant.
Our correspondent, Amebo Newspaper NG when visited the venue of the empowerment, observed high level of service rendered by the consultant handling the training as there was room for question and answers to enable the participants get clear understanding of the selected topic.
According to Akinpelu Oluwaseun, Legislative aide to Hon Olumide Osoba said, the selection was done through party leaders in the three local government, Abeokuta North, Odeda and Obafemi-Owode local government respectively to ensure their in engagement among the youths despite the rate of unemployment in the society.
Also, Hon Olumide Osoba charged the youths to be more proactive and utilize the opportunity in their daily endeavour as he believes the capacity building would help them to be independent.
He appreciated the leaders and the consultant for job well done, prayed for journey mecies to the participant various destination.
He also felicitated with Chief Yemi Sanusi, the chairman of All Progressive Congress APC in Ogun state on his birthday, prayed for long life and more strength to paddle the party to the greater height.
