NANS Congratulates Students Of OGITECH on The Success of Their Union Election

.....Urges President-elect to be magnanimous in victory


The Ogun state secretariat of the National Association of Nigerian Students wishes to congratulate students of Ogun State Institute of Technology, Igbesa, Ogun State on the success of the just-concluded union election.

According to the statement jointly signed by  Comrade Damilola Simeon Kehinde, (Da Osmos), Chairman, National Association of Nigerian Students,NANS Joint Campus Committee /Ogun Axis, and Comrade Olúfẹ́mi 'MVP' Owóẹ̀yẹ, Public Relations Officer,National Association of Nigerian Students,NANS Joint Campus, Committee /Ogun Axis, The election, which was monitored by NANS monitoring team, led by the NANS Ogun JCC chairman himself, Comr. Damilola Simeon was one of the most keenly contested elections that are seen in recent times.

It is noteworthy that, the students of Ogun State Institute of Technology demonstrated a great level of maturity and bravery by following through the election process till the winner emerged. We cannot but envy their spirit of sportsmanship.

At the end of the exercise, the two contestable offices of President and Vice President we're decided as follow;

Folarin Rhoda Eniola (ENNY): 347
Babadiya Ayomide O. (Hush Bammy): 422
Void: 70

PRESIDENT
Usman Azeez (Akogun): 363
Olamoyegun Damilola Gabriel (Dammy Gee): 351
Void: 126

The result showed a keenly contested free and fair election with the total number of ballot papers used tallying at 839 and 840 respectively.

By the above, we wish to congratulate the President elect and the Vice President on the victory. We also wish to congratulate the other contestants for showing good spirit of sportsmanship by accepting the defeat and congratulating the winners.

We urge the President-elect to preach love among the students and bring everybody on board so that the welfare of our students can be defended.

Finally, we wish to thank all the security agencies for a job well done. We thank the Police, the Army, the DSS, the Civil defense corps, the Amotekun corps, the So Safe, and the school security for their organization.
