The executive chairman of Obafemi-Owode local government, Amb Ogunsola Lanrewaju Adesina has been a bastion of hope for Ogun people since his assumption of office, more especially, during this critical time when the masses are confronted with economic downturn.
Despite unfounded criticisms of his person and personality, he has remained focused, firm, unwavering and has endeared himself to the good people of Obafemi-Owode within this 100 days in office.
Interestingly, right from the outset of his administration, Amb Ogunsola Lanrewaju Adesina made it clear that he understood the concept of continuity in government as the longest serving Secretary to the local government, he served three times under Obafemi Owode local government, He declared that he would continue from where his predecessor stopped. Many had thought that he would jettison anything that is linked to the former administration no matter how impactful and useful they would be to Obafemi-Owode people.

The executive chairman of Owode local government, Amb Ogunsola Lanrewaju Adesina explaining the challenges met on ground and how he was able to surpass them one after the other to the Senior Special Adviser to Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun on Political Matters, Rt Hon Tunji Samson Egbetokun alongside the traditional rulers.
Ogunsola, certainly does not belong to the league of chairmen who sees payment of salaries as an achievement. He has always maintained that every labourer deserves their wages. In the three months he has been in charge as the executive chairman of Obafemi-Owode local government, payment of salaries has not been delayed. As a matter of fact, workers and pensioners in the state receive their pay from the 25th of every month.
The chairman did not stop at that, he also has gone a notch further to procure tyres to the grader owned by the council to aid them in the discharge of their duties of making all link roads motorable without any problems.
During his inaugural speech, Amb. Ogunsola made it clear that protection of lives and property would be his utmost priority and warned criminals to leave the the local government.

To ensure probity, prudence and transparency in revenue generation, utilization and management, and to shore up internally generated revenues of the council, Amb Ogunsola Lanrewaju Adesina has meet with the contractors on how to improve more in the revenue remitted to the local government.
