Reps Member Empowers 500 Traders In Ogun

ABEOKUTA— No fewer than five hundred traders was empowered with grants in Abeokuta South federal constituency today Saturday, 25th of September 2021 by Hon Lanre Edun, representing the fifteen wards of Abeokuta South at the green chamber, Abuja.

The empowerment materials are Kerosene, Charcoal, Noddles, Soft Drinks, Palm Oil, Freezing materials and instant cash for traders in the All Progressives Congress, APC from ward 1 to ward 15. 

The empowerment was handled on behalf of Hon Lanre Edun by Mrs Adebola Sunday, a woman leader in All Progressives Congress APC in Abeokuta South local government.

When Amebo Newspaper NG, correspondent approached some of the leaders, Chief Ebenezer Olu Odeyemi appreciated the kind gesture of Hon Lanre Edun extended to the constituency by assisting the petty traders with the grant to empower them to be more productive in their businesses. 

Also, Chief Shoremekun applauded the empowerment programme after giving kudos to the initiator for deeming it necessary to give back to the masses during this hard times to support their businesses across the fifteen wards under Abeokuta South local government, he charged the youths to be more proactive in their endeavors and join politics at all cost as it is the only tools to enable them get dividends of democracy maybe through quality representation or engagement of their immediate communities and bringing philanthropist to build their community to a greater standard. 

It could be recalled that Hon Lanre Edun has been extending hands of fellowship to his immediate constituent through infrastructural projects and relief projects to the widower, aged men and women in the constituency. 

The beneficiaries expressed satisfaction after receiving the materials today in Abeokuta City, they prayed for Hon Lanre Edun and his family after excitement galore for the packages received.
