In our bid to further strengthen and promote our culture and traditional heritage, the leadership of the Yoruba Council of Youths Worldwide (YCYW), Ogun State Council i.e Igbimọ Ọdọ Yorùbá Lágbayé, ẹka ti ipinlẹ Ogun under the auspicious chairmanship of Hon. Sunday Adebowale, pay a courtesy and familiarization visit to important dignitaries in the Capital city of the Gateway State i.e Abeokuta.

First is the visit to the office of Hon. Biyi Adeleye (The Special Adviser to Ogun State Governor on Political Matters) at the Governor's office Oke-Mosan. 

In his address, Mr Chairman appreciated the Honorable S.A for his warm welcome as well as his unrelenting efforts in the political space of the state, he then make known the purpose of the visit, the aims, objectives, roles as well as the agendas of the council in the state most especially the youths constituency of our beloved gateway state, he then appreciated the effort of the State Government under the led administration of His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun Mfr, most especially for securing the release of the kidnapped students of Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye. In his response, the S.A appreciated the leadership of the council and gave assurance of his full support being a reputable Omoluabi and respecter of culture and tradition.



The Chairman and his team then proceeded to the office of Alhaji Farouk Adeniyi Akintunde the Ogun State Secretary of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) where our YCYW Chairman presented to him the letter of appointment as the Council's State Adviser. In his acceptance address, Alhaji Farouk Adeniyi Akintunde joyously accepted the appointment and promised the council of his commitment to the council, stating that his doors are always widely open for the leadership of the council to always visit whenever his attention is needed, he added that the welfarism and development of the entire youths of Ogun State is our collective responsibility.

Also was the visit to the State command of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) to meet the Chairman in person of Ven. (Dr.) Samuel Kunle Popoola to discuss the state of security and manner at which the youths can be sensitized and get involved in the security network of the state for the safety of lives and properties of the general public.

Furthermore, the team proceeded to the Youth Development Center at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) where the Director received warmly the council and gave assurance of a progressive partnership of the duo associations for the benefit of the entire youths constituency across the 20 local governments of the state.

Lastly was the visit to a popular Yoruba Radio program "Oju Abe" on Splash 106.7 FM where the chairman was invited as a guest to speak on the topic "Yoruba Nation and the Challenge of Leadership".

Conclusively, it is evident to note that the leadership of the council is determined and committed to promote unity, culture and traditional heritage amongst the youths across the nooks and crannies of our dear State.
