The Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, MFR has disclosed that Saturday’s victory of Anthony Joshua against Publev further encouraged the initiatives of the State Government to develop its youth and sports, even as the Ogun State-born Joshua retained his titles outside the State.
Ogun Governor Abiodun never made claim to AJ’s training, victory or the reasons for both, but he stated that the victory was a further inspiration for the sustained interest of his government in youth and sports development.
In his words: “This is to congratulate…our very own Anthony Joshua on the…victory that has brought us…a justification for our investment in sports and youth development.”
This reassures the good people of Ogun State that the Governor, in his congratulatory message, expresses joy but stresses that the State Government will not stop investing in sports and youth development until such victories are replicated in and by the State.
