Ministry Of Education Releases 2020/21 Academic Calendar

The Ministry of Education on Saturday released through a Twitter post the academic Calendar for the 2020/21 academic session.

Education institutions have remained closed to curtail the spread of the deadly pandemic ravaging the world in recent times. But with the subdue of the pandemic, government in Nigeria saw it a responsibility to open schools to students and staffs.

So on Saturday, the Education Ministry released the calendar to be used throughout the 2020/21 academic year in the country.

However, it is worth of note that schools have resumed in some states in accordance with the protocols of the pandemic.

In those schools, governments had to cancel the third term of the last session to pave way for the new 2020/21 academic session.

But how the knowledge students would have to forfeit would be remedied is left for the authorities to tell the public.

Academic Calendar in Nigeria runs from September to July before the pandemic. But the incidence of the pandemic had affected the normal flow of calendar thus necessitated a new shift in academic time schedules.
