Odedina Extol Alake At 77

Abeokuta- The honorable commissioner for Agricultural in Ogun State, Dr Samson Adeola Odedina on Monday felicitated with the Alake Of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, Okukenu IV , as he turns 77.

Odedina, during an interview with Amebo Newspaper, said the foremost monarch “personifies greatness and honour.”

He added that the tenure of the monarch, who he described as a royal pillar and custodian of Egba's great values, rich history and tradition, has witnessed huge successes, unprecedented growth and development in his domain.

Odedina joined other well-meaning Nigerians, Ogun State Government, Council of Chiefs, royal family and Egba  indigenes in extolling the visionary and purposeful leadership of Oba Gbadebo on his 77th birthday.

Felicitating with the monarch, Odedina  wished him more years of good health and strength.

He hailed the traditional ruler for promoting peaceful co-existence and respect for religions and diverse cultures in the state and country.

He noted that Oba Gbadebo had successfully carried on with the legacies of his forefathers, “dating back to the 16th century, with an intentional focus to uphold the beautiful traditions of hospitality, respect for authorities and communal development that has always defined the throne.’’

He praised the royal father for his maturity and wise counsels to leaders and indigenes alike, advising the younger generation to toe the line of good education and entrepreneurship.

He prayed that the Almighty God would continue to protect Oba Gbadebo and his family, and grant him more strength to look after his subjects.
