Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps, TRACE, has vowed to enforce the new transport guidelines of the State Government, in a Strategic Enforcement Plan, aimed at curbing the spread of COVID 19 Pandemic on the inter state and borderline routes.

According to a release from the office of the TRACE Corps Commander/Chief Executive, Cdr. 'Seni Ogunyemi, TRACE Corps would deploy the full strength of its operational apparatus, in collaboration with other Services, particularly at borderlines and inter state routes which falls under Ogun traffic corridor.

The routes and borderlines include, the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway; the Old Lagos-Sango-Ifo-Abeokuta Expressway; Interchange-Sagamu-Ijebu/Ode-Benin/Ore Expressway; Abeokuta-Odeda-Ibadan Highway; Atan-Lusada-Agbara-Badagry Highway; Papanlato-Owode-Idiroko Highway; Ijebu/Ode-Agbowa-Ikorodu Highway; Ijebu/Ife-Ilese-Ijebu/Ode- Oru-Ibadan Highway and Rounder/Abeokuta-Olorunda-Ayetoro-Imeko-Ilara Border.

The release further stated that all TRACE Corps Area Commanders, Divisional Commanders and Unit Commanders should commence the execution of the Strategic Enforcement Plan as directed by the State Government on the aforementioned routes along the Ogun inter state routes and borderlines on Monday, 4th May, 2020.

Moreover, the release urge the general public, particularly the motoring public to adhere strictly to the curfew imposed by the Federal Government from 2000hrs(8pm)-0600hrs(6am) daily across the federation, effective from Monday, 4th May, 2020.
Any person arrested for disobeying the restriction order would be prosecuted and the vehicle impounded until the expiration of the Covid 19 Pandemic restriction order.

In addition, the release thanked the good people of the Gateway State for the support, cooperation and understanding extended to Government in this difficult times in its onerous endeavour to ameliorate the hardship experienced so far.
