Ogun: Trace Commandant, Seni Ogunyemi Bags NUJ Awards

Abeokuta - The Ogun Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE) Boss, Seni Ogunyemi has been awarded as the "Icon of Peace and Progress" by the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Federated Chapel, Ogun State. 

The traffic lord was bestowed with the award based on his tremendous efforts in proffering solution to the traffic, orderliness in Ogun State.

According to Johnson Akinpelu who led the committee to the presentation of award described Ogunyemi as a man who really deserve to be awarded based on his contribution to the uplifting of Ogun State through his area of professionalism. 
He said the award was supposed to have been presented in December during the chapel's press week but due to tight schedule of the Trace Lord, it was rescheduled for convenience.

Ogunyemi, after receiving the award promised to partner with the union at all times by discharge his duties to the development of the good people of Ogun State and beyond.

"We have zero tolerance for bribery and  corruption in the agency, we shall not support any officers caught in the act, not even gratification from the members of the public to our officers on duties" said Seni Ogunyemi.

He further laid emphasis on zero tolerance for bribery and corruption within the agency, expressed readiness to restore traffic flow in the state by informing the masses on traffic situations and circumstances surrounding them at every point in time.
