Mr Ovie Wisdom Iroro was recently murdered in cold blood in his own area of residence. Just few hours after revealing the source of his income on Facebook and having a subtle argument with a commenter in the comment section.
Assasins have once again murdered a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State.
The victim, Mr. Ovie Wisdom Iroro, was killed at his residence in the university community of Abraka on Wednesday night.
The deceased was said to be having his bath at about 10pm when his killers stormed his home and dragged him to a nearby bush where they sniffed life out of him.
It was not clear as at the time of filing this report, the motive behind his assassination, sources in the community claimed Iroro might have been killed over his allege disagreement with suspected Internet fraudsters aka Yahoo Yahoo boys.
It was claimed that the deceased, who was a member of the social media team of the PDP for Ethiope Council, was alleged not to honour suspected business transaction with his killers.
His death is coming barely a week after gunmen believed to be assassins also reportedly murdered, Paul Onomuakporkpo, a PDP ward chairman at Olomu Ward 1 in Ughelli South Council area of the state.
Multiple sources in the area including the chairman of Ethiope East LGA, Chief (Mrs) Faith Majemite confirmed the killing of Iroro who was in his early 30s.
Majemite, who decried the gruesome murder of the PDP supporter, said she was already working with the Divisional Police Officer in Abraka to get those behind the killing arrested.
However, the State Police Commissioner, Mr Hafiz Muhammed Inuwa, could not be reached for official response as at the time of filing this report on Thursday.
Late Mr Iroro left behind a wife and two kids.
