Relationships are built on trust. Yeah, yeah — If you think about the 102378th times you have been lied to, you probably think, "Are you Sure?"

Do people know this?

But it is the truth! A partner that is always lying is not one that can be invested in or trusted.

With so much talk on infidelity in relationships every day, you may start to wonder if there are signs your boyfriend is lying to you, and you might be missing.

 It is important to know what key things to watch out for, and things to not overreact to.

 So let’s have fun because if your partner is lying to you, you will notice these five things.  

1.      When His Body Language Is Off

The most common indication someone may be lying is when their body language is off.

He might be unable to look you in the eye as they speak. If he faces his palms downward when he talks to you, or if he is fidgeting, foot tapping, covering his mouth or he may point a lot at you and look away this signs tell you sometimes is wrong.

Also if he is staring hard at you almost belligerently, that’s what we call a defence mechanism and this may mean he is hiding something.

keep in mind that odd body language might also be a result of stress, lack of sleep, or something else that's throwing them off.

 

2.      His Story Don’t Add Up

If you suspect your partner has been lying to you, one of the main things to look out for is whether or not their stories add up. I'm not just talking about their IG stories – ALONE. 

If you notice that his stories don't add up or you hear one thing from him and another from his friends, social media pages, or family, you know something isn't right.

Sometimes it could just be because of miscommunication but if it becomes consistent it's wise you keep your eyes to more clues. It is advisable to come clean with it and ask him immediately.

 3.      Furtive Behavior – (He Goes MIA A Lot)

Is he getting cell phone text messages and seems to hide them from you? Does he occasionally not answer his phone if you're around, or go somewhere else to talk? Are there times when you can't get a hold of him, but he can't really explain why? These may indicate anything.

So, if you've been finding yourself unexpectedly solo and unable to get ahold of your boo lately, it could be an indicator that they're hiding something from you.

However, you might want to give them the benefit of the doubt before assuming that they're a big fat liar.

4. He Constantly Blames You 

Often people who are lying become mistrustful of the people around them and display it by beginning to accuse them of lying.

It gets easy for him to blame you and you begin to look like the guilty party. Most time it happens because he wants to justify his guilty conscience.

If every concern you have is turned around and thrown back at you, he's pulling a classic guilty-man move. Keeping you on the defensive keeps him out of trouble.

 5.    You Have Proof 

The only way to be sure that your partner is lying is to catch them in the act of lying or to have irrefutable proof. Sometimes playing detective can be a good cause. ( don’t abuse it and come out as a stalker).

Having Proof isn't really a sign, but beyond a confession, it's the only way to know if your partner has been lying to you.

It’s good to have proof and solid evidence to back your claim.

Ultimately, none of this is hard-core proof that your partner is lying, some of them may be signs of something different. So take a daring act and make sure you have that solid evidence and prove him wrong.
