Ado-Odo Kidnap: Suspects Revealed The Victims Has Been Killed

Police investigations into the March 27, 2019 kidnapping of Musibau Olawale (a.k.a Long) and Hakeem Akinlolu (a.k.a. Stainless) at Igasia-Ilegbemu, in Ado-Odo, Ogun State, have revealed that the victims have been killed.

Eleven suspects arrested by men of the Zonal Intervention Squad (ZIS), a strike force unit of Zone 2 Police Command, Lagos, for their alleged complicity in the dastardly act, have however been spilling the bean, accusing and counter-accusing one another of orchestrating the killings by gunshots.

As criminals with common ideology and bound by oath, the suspects have kept sealed lips on what they did with the corpses.

Amebo Online Newspaper can authoritatively reveal that unlike alleged previous killings in the area of which remains of the victims were never seen, the ongoing investigation was made possible with the narrow escape of one Musibau Egbetokun who, as one of the people with the late Hakeem and Musibau, on sighting the assailants in a ferocious move towards them on the Musibau's site, he took refuge in the bush from where he spotted some of the attackers.

He said: They came on about 15 motorbikes, three persons on each, and held 'Long and Stainless' hostage. In fact, they searched for me all through the bush. My escape was, indeed miraculous and divine. If they had got me, no one would have identified those behind the wicked act, let alone standing to testify against them as I am doing now".

While parading the suspects before a select journalists, yesterday, at the Zone 2 Police Command headquarters, Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) Lawal Shehu, described the act as barbaric, stating that all other accomplices, currently at large, would be fished out and brought to book.

According to him, "Criminals within the Zone, comprising Lagos and Ogun states, will not know peace. We will fight them tooth and nail".

The police boss, however, ordered the Commander, ZIS, CSP Gbenga Megbope, to ensure that everyone connected to the heinous crime was tracked and arraiged in court.

Narrating her last moment with the 46-year-old "Long", his bereaved wife, Kafilat Adewunmi Musibau, said they spoke last on that fateful Wednesday, March 27, on issues bothering on two of their sons about to write JAMB examination, only to be called on Friday that he had been kidnapped. She said she broke down in tears when she later heard that her husband had been killed.

Mother of four boys, aged 13. 16, 17 and 24, the Musibau's widow wondered how she would cope with the responsibility of fending for the children.

Worst still, according to her, the late Musibau is survived by his 87-year-old mother.

The paraded suspects were Ajose John Owoyele (a.k.a. Navy), the gang's leader; Michael Abioro; Bankole Nzu; Salimon Adeyemi (a.k.a Warrior); Joseph Jimoh;Idowu Joseph; Wusu Suru; Bidemi Togbemi; Jimoh Nasiru (a.k.a Jogun-omi); Joseph Gabriel and Jimoh Obara.
