Ogun Governor's Task Team On ICT Visits MAPOLY On Assessment Tour

In furtherance to the vision of His Excellency, the governor of Ogun state, Prince Dapo Abiodun to lead an ICT Revolution in Ogun State, the Governor's task team on ICT took its next accessment tour down to Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, MAPOLY.

The visit led by a member of the task team, Mr Dennis Ogunnaike was to assess the e-facility status of MAPOLY.

The visit which is a continuation of the assessment of existing ICT infrastructures within the state and the needed intervention of the government towards enhancing ICT and technological potentials of the state which appears moribund before the governor came onboard.

The Rector, Dr. Samson Odedina who received the team on behalf of the management appreciates the visit and expressed his gratitude to Gov. Dapo Abiodun for bringing such an awesome innovative ideas to the institution. He said such programme will harness scope of learning for the students as it will open their eyes to the new technology world.

In her own reactions, the HOD of computer science department who also doubles as the ICT head of the institution acknowledged the lack of infrastructure in term of new modern technologies as ICT revolves daily.

The students' leaders led by Comr. Omoniyi Samson appreciated the governor for such an innovative programme coming to MAPOLY.

"It a good development at the right time for the institution and we can't wait to witness it", he further by his popular slang 'A New MAPOLY is possible with Dapo Abiodun'.

In attendance were the School Rector, Dr. Samson Adeola Odedina, the Registrar, Mr. Emmanuel Adeleye, the PRO, Mr. Yemi Ajibola, HOD Computer Science and ICT Head, Mrs. Misturat Alaran and the Students' Union President, Comrade Omoniyi Samson, among other staffs.
