Tension In Ogun As RCCG Allegedly Dumps Over 100 Members On The Street

There was a mild tension in Abeokuta today following the dumping of over hundreds internally displaced members by the Redeem Christian Church of God RCCG, Headquarter situated at Lagos-ibadan express way in Ogun State Amebo Online Newspaper has learnt.

According to the residents of Oke-Sokori, the people were dumped around 1:35am in the midnight with over eleven buses, with no registration numbers all detailed with policemen, He said the residents thought they were armed robbers not until they approached the people after they were dumped for interrogation.

According to David, one of the displaced person who speaks with Amebo Online Newspaper said they were dumped around 2am in the midnight of today. He said the reasons given to them was that so many of them has been vandalising the auditorium, stealing people's properties and other criminal activities.

"They pointed gun at us at right from the Redeem Camp instructing us to enter the bus with force, each buses was detailed with two policemen and we were escorted from front and back till they dumped us at unknown location. Said David."

David said he started living in the Redemption camp since last year December shortly after the service when he was sent parking from home with his wife and kid.

One of the residents, Emmanuel Olaleye confirmed the incident to Amebo Online Newspaper saying he initially thought they were been invaded by the armed robbers and the residents has been keeping their eyes opened since 2am after they dumped them.

Also, he expresses shock over the buses been escorted by policemen with a pickup van with no registration numbers and shortly after the displaced people were dumped they made u-turn and leave.

Also, another set of displaced people were also said to have been dumped at Ita Oshin, Brewery junction and NNP respectively.
