Democracy in our country is fast becoming a mess as top politicians are ready to fight their political enemies with democratic institutions which are supposed to be independent. Today, let us reason the connection between the new judge of the Ogun State election petition tribunal and the Lagos Lord - Bola Tinubu.
Justice Adenike Josephine Coker was born in Lagos in 1964, and had both primary and secondary education in Lagos. She attended the University of Lagos and the Law School in Lagos.
She works with Lagos State government as counsel in the judiciary and was appointed as a magistrate and was sworn - in by Vice President Yemi Osinbanjo when he was the Attorney - General of Lagos under the watch of Tinubu as Lagos State governor.
It is on records that she defended over 45 cases and won some for Bola Tinubu between 1999/2007, when he was governor of Lagos State. She is a member of Asiwaju Tinubu legal crack team charged with strategizing on how best to destroy Tinubu's perceived or direct political enemies.
We must place it on records that she designed how Jimi Agbaje was charged with tax evasion in 2007 when he ran for governor under NCP against Tinubu's Fasola of AC. She called the shots in the Lagos judiciary and thus a factor.
We must not quickly forget that Tinubu imposed Dapo Abiodun on the Ogun APC in October, 2018 to hijack the leadership structure from SIA and penetrate properly into Ogun. The first strategies was YAYI which was quickly repelled and sent back to Lagos by the good people of Ogun State. YAYI today is a senator re-elected in Lagos and will be back in Ogun to vie for the guber seat. God forbid!
Tinubu was bittered by this and vow to bring Amosun on his knee before him anytime and the only easy way to achieve that is by making sure his core loyalists occupied every position he can use to torment SIA or his agenda.
Now, Justice Adenike Coker has been assigned with same 'dutiful duty' to rush down to Ogun Tribunal and finish what Osinbajo couldn't perfect in the election.
She has been mandated to finish the job within 4 months so that DA can concentrate on the job. She has also been paid #250 million with a promise of judicial promotion as soon as she completes the 'dutiful duty' in Ogun.
It is obvious now that the reshuffling of the tribunal across the federation is a plot by Tinubu to buy judgement. He's being aided by the so called Pastor Osinbajo, who is fast losing the kingdom of God because of political ambitions.
