The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Resident Electoral Commissioner, REC, in Osun State, Olusegun Agbaje, says he will resign if the Supreme Court finds the Commission culpable in the petition arising from last year’s governorship election in the state.
Agbaje disclosed this at a forum of veteran journalists in Osogbo, the Osun State capital on Tuesday.
The REC said INEC is ready to give Nigeria a universally acceptable election if all the stakeholders give maximum cooperation to the Commission.
The INEC official, however, called on voters who are yet to collect their Permanent Voter Cards to do so before Friday’s deadline.
